Relax And Rejuvenate
With all the stress of planning your wedding, it may be time to take a few minutes to relax and rejuvenate. With more than 30 luxury spas offered as amenities inside its famed resorts, spas in Las Vegas are as varied as the resorts that house them.

Destinations around the world are embracing spas as a necessary part of the full-service resort experience, and Las Vegas is characteristically staying ahead of the trend. According to the International Spa Association (ISPA), consumers no longer label spas as frivolous. Instead, many now consider spas a necessity to staying
healthy.

Spa services offered in Las Vegas include sport, Shiatsu and Swedish massages to soothe tired muscles and smooth away kinks; body treatments including herbal baths, wraps, aromatherapy and reflexology; relaxing amenities such as steam rooms, saunas and whirlpools; and full-service salons offering manicures, pedicures, facials and hair styling.

Some resorts offer wellness centers, where professionally trained personnel offer advice on nutrition and healthy lifestyles, as well as innovative fitness facilities and equipment such as virtual reality bicycles and Cybex equipment.

Here is a partial listing of Las Vegas' many resort spas:

Did you know..........
Las Vegas is known as much for its weddings as it is for its casinos. With an average of more than 120,000 marriage licenses issued annually, Las Vegas is recognized as the world's wedding capital. Whether it's eloping on a secret rendezvous, or planning an elaborate ceremony for hundreds of your family and friends, there is no place quite like Vegas to make it official.

Part of the allure of getting married in Las Vegas is that it offers the ultimate freedom of choice, ranging from Elvis presiding over a 24-hour, drive-through chapel to a lavish soiree at one of the world's premier resorts. In addition, Las Vegas has minimal requirements and no waiting period, making "quickie" weddings an attractive possibility.

Since its early history, Las Vegas has been the wedding destination for a multitude of celebrity couples including Elvis Presley and Priscilla Beaulieu, Frank Sinatra and Mia Farrow, Jane Fonda and Roger Vadim, Bruce Willis and Demi Moore, Cindy Crawford and Richard Gere, Britney Spears and Jason Alexander, and Billy Bob Thornton and Angelina Jolie. Others who have tied the knot in Las Vegas include Brigitte Bardot, Billy Martin, Joan Collins, Judy Garland, Vic Damone, Jon Bon Jovi, Charisma Carpenter, Tony Curtis, Mickey Rooney (several times), Mary Tyler Moore, Sammy Davis, Jr., Bing Crosby, Joan Crawford, Michael Jordan, and Dennis Rodman.

Ancestry.com, the world's largest online family history resource, recently launched a collection of Nevada's marriage and divorce records of the more than 9 million people who said their "I do's" and "I don't's" in Nevada between 1956 and 2005. A cross-section of the collection reveals some fascinating and fun facts on getting together, splitting up, celebrity sightings, most popular days of the week to get married, percentage of marriages that take place in Nevada versus nationwide, shortest marriages in Nevada history, repeat offenders and much more. And, in true betting fashion, the site also launched VegasWeddingOdds.com, an online marriage-predicting site which, based on your first name, will give you the first names of the people you're most likely to marry in Nevada.

FastFacts:
* Most popular wedding days in Las Vegas: Valentine's Day and New Year's Eve
* On Valentine's Day in 2006, 1,228 marriages were performed and 394 marriage licenses were issued. The day before, there were only 200 marriages performed but 721 marriage licenses issued.
* Most popular wedding dates in Las Vegas: Dates with repeating numbers (for example, 1/01/01, 2/02/02, 3/03/03 and this year 7/07/07)
