New Fiore Steakhouse At The Rio
The Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas recently opened the new Fiore Steakhouse, with an expanded menu that mixes the traditional with the extraordinary.
The Fiore dining experience combines favorite steakhouse classics with a Mediterranean flair. Specialties include certified Angus steaks grilled over aromatic olive and mesquite woods, a tableside raw bar and fresh, succulent seafood.
The new steakhouse's stunning decor utilizes rich, dark wood and subdued lighting to create an elegant and tranquil dining experience.
Honored with the prestigious DiRona award, Chef Lam Vongsakoun and his team of culinary masters bring Old World flavors to life with innovative new steak and seafood preparations.
Fiore's menu includes such distinctive dishes as cappucino of lobster bisque, steak au poivre and filet mignon with steamed center cut crab.
Seafood lovers will enjoy the spiced citron vodka cured salmon, pan seared Chilean sea bass with clams or the cappellini with Maine lobster, among many other stellar dishes.
"Food is definitely the star of the show at Fiore, said Jeffrey Frederick, vice president of food and beverage at the Rio. "We have an open-display kitchen that adds to the warmth and ambiance of the experience."
New to the Fiore experience is the rolling raw bar, featuring a superior selection of seafood, antipasti and delicious accompaniments. Fresh salads and homemade bread baked right on the premises are specially presented, tableside at Fiore.
The room's subtle elegance is enhanced by its remarkable wine selection, featuring more than 500 wines, many of which are served by the glass. In fact, Fiore restaurant is the recipient of a coveted Wine Spectator award.
Additionally, guests have the option of escaping to a serene cigar terrace, which overlooks the Rio's spectacular, romantic tropical lagoon.
The Fiore room itself sets the tone for the perfect romantic evening. The simple elegance of crisp white linens and fragrant flowers is enhanced with the attentive service for which Fiore has earned its superior reputation.

New Pearl Restaurant Opens At The MGM Grand
MGM Grand recently opened it's latest gastronomic offering Pearl, located along the resort's Studio Walk.
A modern Chinese restaurant with Western flair, Pearl features authentic Cantonese and Shanghainese specialties, live seafood and a roduct-driven menu that changes according to availability.
"Our commitment to transforming MGM Grand into 'The City of Entertainment' offering premier dining and attractions continues with Pearl," said Gamal Aziz, president and chief operating officer of MGM Grand. "Pearl redefines authentic Chinese cuisine with a modern atmosphere and reinforces our dedication to creating elegant, one-of-a-kind dining experiences for our guests."
The menu features select items from each cooking method (steamed, braised, baked and fried) in five categories, plus dessert: Appetizers, Soup and Shark's Fin, Live Seafood, Poultry and Meat and Side Dishes. Pearl also offers four prix fixe menus.
Signature items from the menu include Asian Bouillabaisse, Shark Fin and Dungeness Crab Spring Rolls and a Steamed Maine and Australian Lobster Tasting.
The tea trolley in Pearl is unique to Chinese restaurants in the United States and includes the finest Chinese Tea selection prepared tableside with select filtered water. Pearl's Western flair is evident throughout the dining experience. A dedicated wine cellar, an aperitif trolley and a digestive selection along with a Sommelier, also not usually found in traditional Chinese restaurants, assist guests with wine and beverage pairings throughout the meal.
Featuring French pastries, desserts at Pearl are a departure from the traditional offerings of Asian restaurants. The tempting finale includes Caramel Bavarois with Passion Fruit Cremeax, Napoleon of Orange Blossom with Raspberries and a selection of Lychee - Green Tea, Passion Fruit Sorbet and Seasonal Fruits.
Designed by Tony Chi, Pearl exudes a quiet sophistication with a residential penthouse feel.
Pearl is open for dinner nightly. Prices for appetizers range from $8-$48 with individual entrée items ranging from $20-$45. Prix fixe menus range from $38-$78 per person. Wine pairings can be added for an additional cost. Desserts begin at $8.

Harrah's Las Vegas Offers Dinner And Show Packages
Harrah's Las Vegas Casino & Hotel now offers a time-honored Las Vegas tradition: the dinner and show package. These great all-inclusive dinner and show packages offer guests the option of selecting one of Harrah's shows, and pairing it with dinner at the Harrah's restaurant of their choice.
A package featuring dinner, and the multi-talented headliner Clint Holmes is $75 a person; dinner and a hilarious evening at the Improv Comedy Club is just $55 a person; and dinner plus the late-night adult revue Skintight is just $65 a person.
Guests may book their entire package with show tickets, plus a dinner reservation at the restaurant of their choice: Asia, Café Andreotti or the Range Steakhouse.The dinner includes a fixed menu, including a salad or appetizer, choice of entrée, dessert and one beverage.
Asia, which offers exciting cuisine of the Orient, will feature a starter of Hong Kong won ton soup, a choice of general's chicken (crispy chicken breast cooked in a sweet garlic chili sauce), Mongolian beef or stir-fried shrimp with jade bok choy. Dessert consists of honey glazed fried banana served with vanilla bean ice cream.
At Café Andreotti, the delicious menu starts with a crisp caesar salad, an entrée choice of chicken picatta, lasagna al fomo or shrimp scampi; and a dessert of tiramisu. A basket of warm, freshly-baked bread accompanies this dinner.
The popular Range Steakhouse, featuring a panoramic view of the strip unmatched by any other resort, will offer a tempting dinner/show menu. Diners may begin with a Range house salad, and select from a choice of slow-roasted prime rib, grilled Atlantic salmon or free range chicken; and chocolate souffle for two for dessert.
