New Green Valley Ranch in Henderson
 Las Vegas' newest casino/resort sits on a 40-acre site at the crossroads of Interstate 215 and Green Valley Parkway, five minutes from McCarran International Airport and seven minutes from the Las Vegas Strip.
"Our hotel has an Old World look but is filled with contemporary amenities so every guest feels at home," said Michael V. Mecca, Green Valley Ranch Vice President/General Manager. The 201-room Mediterranean-style hotel has a 50,000-square-foot casino, including a 10-screen Regal Cinema movie complex, 170-seat race/sports book, and seven full-service restaurants: Il Fornaio; BullShrimp, a steak and seafood restaurant; Trophy's, a sports themed restaurant; Fado, an Irish pub; The Original Pancake House; The Border Grill; and the Feast Around the World Buffet.
Each oversized 500-square-foot guest room includes down comforters, high-speed Internet access lines, coffee service, a stereo/CD player, a mini bar, and a safe. Several suites include a fax/printer, DMX Surround Sound and Jacuzzi tubs. And the view . . . most rooms feature exceptional panoramic views of the Las Vegas Valley and the Strip.
Station's Slot Variety
The slot floor includes games like Party Time, Ripley's Believe it or Not, The Price is Right, The Honeymooners, Bewitched, Pictionary, Reversible Royals video poker (a game created by Station Casinos), and popular progressive games such as Megabucks and Wheel of Fortune.
Green Valley Ranch also opens with a full ticket-in/ticket-out system. "About 80 percent of the slot floor utilizes the ticket-in/ticket-out system," said Mecca. With the ticket-in/ticket-out system, a player puts either coins or bills in machine. When he is finished playing, he receives a ticket containing his credits and he can either use the ticket, like currency, to play a new machine or cash out the ticket at a number of locations.
"Our guests like multiple progressive games and random jackpot payouts, and we've got them at Green Valley Ranch," added Mecca. Another jackpot favorite is the progressive Cash Bonus Blitz where random jackpots are paid to players at that slot bank; they win without hitting any type of jackpot or any type of winning combination. The extra jackpots are paid in addition to any win on the machine.
Green Valley Ranch guests also have the opportunity to take home a little "ice" when they play Raining Diamonds, a nickel video slot machine. Guests can win certified jewelry, which can weigh as much as one carat, while playing one of the eight machines during a bonus round. When the player hits the jackpot, a little safe locks up the machine until a slot ambassador comes to open it. The winner picks the jewelry, which includes necklaces and earrings, based on the jackpot.

The Backyard

New Palms Resort Has Ghost Bar, Movie Theaters
The Palms Casino Resort offers a diverse mix of restaurants and bars including a “Ghost Bar,” spa and salon, 14-theater Cineplex, 95,000-square-foot casino, and much more.
The $265 million 32-acre resort at Flamingo Road and Royal Flush Way just west of the Las Vegas Strip and Interstate 15, also offers 9,000 square feet of convention and meeting space.
